Note: The fashion of the era dictated that a tunic be somewhat baggy with (by modern standards) overly long sleeves. The above guide is valid for these tunics only: the size measurements may not be accurate for other garments we sell.Product exactly as described. Robust fabric, with a nice trim around the cuff and neck. XL is a nice loose fit. Good length, comes to my knees. Perfect for a winter feast or a daring raid. Or anything in between. I might even wear it to work... Pete Diggins on 9th Jan 2024
A good basic tunic with attractive symmetrically sewn braid around the collar. I'm approx 165cm tall so the large size came halfway between my knees & ankles. Is well split up the sides to my knees with braid on these edges - not shown in photos. No braid on bottom edge so can be taken up. However, colour was a navy blue, not my preferred lighter blue as shown in photos. Unknown on 19th Nov 2021
My husband now has three Viking Tunics ready for our timeline festival. Excellent quality fabric, trimming just completes the look. He feels like a king wearing it and I'm very happy to see him in it. The Medieval Shoppe never disappoints, fantastic service and fast delivery. Lois on 5th Oct 2019
I received the tunic and it was well made and delivered promptly (within a week). The tunic was quite long for the size (I choose size 'small'), but that could be because my husband is 167cm tall. The tunic fell within 5 cm from his ankle. Colour is a much darker blue than pictured. Cloth seems true to the time! :) But thankfully stitching is modern and done well.
It would have been good to be able to customize the length, but given the position of the embroidery this is difficult to do. Unknown on 30th May 2017
Good Basis for costumes. Well made loose fit, good stitching. When I tried it on I felt a strange desire to hold a sword. Fast delivery. Answered my query promptly. Brenten on 3rd Nov 2016
This well made tunic is perfect for the average man who wishes to wander around without the worry of carrying such large, heavy metal armour. Fits perfectly, and looks even better when accompanied with a belt. Michelle on 12th Apr 2016
